Rehabilitation Consultant - Occupational Therapist

About the role

Altius, a workplace health and wellbeing group founded in 2001, is hiring a Rehabilitation Consultant (Occupational Therapist) for its Rehabilitation Services team in Wollongong. You will help injured, ill or disabled people regain independence, improve their quality of life and return to work, working on site within the department.

Key responsibilities

• Develop personalised rehabilitation plans using a whole-of-person approach
• Complete assessments such as Functional Capacity Evaluations, Workplace Assessments, Ergonomic Assessments and Activities of Daily Living Assessments
• Identify return-to-work pathways aligned with likely recovery milestones
• Use clinical experience and injury management knowledge to assess claimants and support their return to work
• Work with clients, families, insurers, employers and other healthcare professionals to evaluate physical, psychological and social factors
• Present case information and give credible recommendations to stakeholders

Required profile

• Full AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
• Current driver's licence and access to own transport
• Full Australian working rights
