Rehabilitation Consultant - Occupational Therapist, Exercise Physiologist or Physiotherapist

About the role

MedHealth is looking for an Occupational Therapist, Exercise Physiologist or Physiotherapist to join its multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals as a Rehabilitation Consultant in Hobart. Applicants based outside Hobart in Tasmania, or looking to relocate, are welcome to apply. The role helps clients regain their independence and achieve their goals in life and work.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake assessments relevant to your discipline to develop and implement effective rehabilitation plans
• Design and deliver intervention programmes that build functional capacity and independence
• Develop tailored rehabilitation plans and return to work strategies
• Identify barriers and implement practical, evidence-based solutions
• Navigate multiple funding schemes to support client recovery
• Collaborate with clients, their families, medical teams, employers and other stakeholders

Required profile

• Australian-recognised degree qualification and full accreditation in Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology or Physiotherapy
• Willingness to travel; a current vehicle and driver's licence are required
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
• Determination to provide a high level of customer service, punctuality and effective time management
