Rehabilitation Consultant

About the role

APM WorkCare is hiring a Rehabilitation Consultant in Brisbane. The role helps people affected by injury, illness, mental health, psychosocial and other health challenges build confidence, overcome barriers and achieve meaningful goals, so they can return to work and regain independence. The position is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct assessments, set rehabilitation goals and develop tailored rehabilitation and return-to-work plans.
• Deliver services such as workplace and ergonomic assessments, job task analysis, activities of daily living assessments (OT), vocational support and return-to-work planning.
• Work with employers, insurers, treating health professionals and community stakeholders, including case conferences.
• Facilitate workshops and wellbeing programs, build referral relationships and contribute to client outcomes and business growth.
• Manage a diverse caseload using clinical transcription technology and tools such as the Virtual Reality pain program and the psychosocial screening tool APMiQ.

Required profile

• Qualification in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Osteopathy, Chiropractic, Rehabilitation Counselling or Psychology with relevant registration (AHPRA/ESSA/ASORC).
• Experience in occupational rehabilitation, injury management, workplace health, mental health, employment services or a related field is highly regarded.
• Current driver's licence and willingness to travel locally across Brisbane.
• Valid Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain one), National Criminal History Check and full Australian working rights.
• New to occupational rehabilitation? Onboarding, mentoring and support are provided.
