Registered Nurse - Subacute, Palliative Care & Rehabilitation (Contract)

About the role

MARS Recruitment is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for contract opportunities in Darling Downs, Queensland. The nurse provides thoughtful nursing care through rehabilitation, subacute treatment and palliative care, supported by a dedicated consultant throughout the placement.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver subacute nursing care and monitor clinical progress
• Support symptom management and person-centred palliative care
• Work with the team on rehabilitation and coordinated care

Required profile

• Relevant experience in subacute nursing, palliative care and rehabilitation
• Current AHPRA registration and Australian work rights, with required placement compliance
• Strong communication, clinical assessment and teamwork skills

What we offer

• $73 per hour for ordinary rostered hours, rising to $246 per hour on eligible shifts or overtime
• Higher pay for weekday afternoons, weeknights, weekends and public holidays, with applicable penalties
• Travel assistance and accommodation, subject to contract arrangements
• On-call, meal, laundry and broken-shift allowances, plus a qualification allowance of +3.5% where applicable
• Referral and contract completion bonuses, and Christmas Eve public holiday pay at 250% where applicable
• Compliance and onboarding support, plus a dedicated consultant for the placement
