Registered Nurse - Rural Generalist (Central Queensland)

About the role

MARS Recruitment is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for contract opportunities in Central Queensland, supporting a rural community through emergency and medical nursing. The position is advertised as full-time, with an 80-hour roster per fortnight and on-call duty.

Key responsibilities

• Provide nursing assessment, monitoring and care within the service
• Respond to acute clinical changes within your competencies
• Coordinate with colleagues and escalate patients when required

Required profile

• Current relevant AHPRA registration and Australian work rights
• Hepatitis A compliance and Aged Care Check mandatory
• Strong communication, clinical assessment and teamwork skills

Required skills

• ALS, PALS and triage
• IV cannulation
• Emergency and rural nursing

What we offer

• $73 per hour basic rate for ordinary rostered hours, up to $246 per hour on eligible shifts or overtime
• Higher pay for weekday afternoons, weeknights, weekends and public holidays, with penalties reflected in the enhanced rate

• On-call allowances, meal, laundry and broken shift allowances, plus a qualification allowance of +3.5% where applicable
• Referral and contract completion bonuses, and Christmas Eve public holiday pay at 250% where applicable
