Registered Nurse - Residential Aged Care

About the role

Respect Riverside Gardens in Nambucca Heads, NSW, is looking for a full-time Registered Nurse to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care to older Australians. The nurse provides clinical care in line with AHPRA standards and organisational policies, reports to the Care Manager and General Manager and works with residents, families, healthcare professionals and care staff.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct resident admissions, assessments and care planning
• Develop, implement and review individualised care plans
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records
• Complete ACFI/clinical assessments and support funding requirements
• Administer medications and oversee medication management
• Provide direct clinical care and respond to changes in resident health
• Supervise, support and mentor Enrolled Nurses and Care Assistants
• Liaise with residents, families, GPs and allied health professionals
• Promote a safe workplace and infection control standards
• Take part in training, professional development and quality improvement

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Current National Police Check, or willingness to obtain one
• Knowledge of aged care standards and residential aged care requirements
• Strong communication and clinical assessment skills
