Registered Nurse - Palliative Care

About the role

Mercy Health Albury is recruiting a Registered Nurse for its Palliative Care unit, a 10-bed inpatient unit providing end-of-life support and symptom management. The position is permanent part-time, at 40 hours per fortnight, within the inpatient palliative care unit.

Key responsibilities

• Provide quality, client-focused care to patients, their families and carers using a holistic, person-centred approach.
• Act as a professional role model, demonstrating and upholding the core values of Mercy Health in every interaction.
• Work as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team with medical, allied health and support staff to deliver coordinated, responsive care.
• Provide flexible, empathetic and skilled support to consumers and carers while maintaining a high level of clinical professionalism.

Required profile

• Resilient, compassionate and committed to exceptional patient-centred care.
• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse.
• Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccinations consistent with NSW public health orders.
• Police record.
