Registered Nurse – Medical Imaging

About the role

Queensland X‑Ray is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse to join the Medical Imaging team at Mater Public in Brisbane. The role starts on a Monday‑to‑Friday roster during a six‑month probation period, after which Saturday mornings and on‑call duties may be added.

Key responsibilities

• Provide patient care across diagnostic and interventional services such as CT, PET/CT, angiography and ultrasound.
• Support patients throughout their imaging journey, ensuring safety and efficiency of clinical services.
• Collaborate with radiologists and imaging specialists while maintaining accurate documentation.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration with no restrictions.
• Minimum two years recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute hospital setting.
• Excellent communication, time‑management and decision‑making skills under pressure.
• Compassionate, team‑oriented attitude with a focus on patient‑centred care.

Required skills

• Peripheral intravenous cannulation.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
