About the role

Join the dedicated nursing team at Hollywood Private Hospital as a Permanent Full‑Time Registered Nurse – Surgical, providing high‑quality, patient‑centred care within a supportive and collaborative hospital environment. The role covers Monday to Saturday morning and afternoon shifts in a busy surgical setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide safe, high‑quality, patient‑centred nursing care across the surgical journey.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised patient care, monitoring clinical condition and responding to changes.
• Administer medications and treatments safely, maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Promote patient safety, infection prevention and control, and escalate clinical concerns appropriately.
• Participate in handovers, multidisciplinary discussions and contribute to continuous improvement and professional development.

Required profile

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum 12 months post‑registration nursing experience and previous surgical nursing experience.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, decision‑making and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and across Monday‑Saturday shifts.
• Commitment to patient safety, infection prevention and ongoing professional development.
