Registered Nurse - Endoscopy Unit

About the role

Queensland Health is recruiting a Grade 5 Registered Nurse for the Endoscopy Unit at Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital. You will deliver safe, compassionate, person-centred clinical care to patients undergoing gastroenterology and endoscopy procedures in a fast-paced procedural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care including clinical assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, Gastroenterology outpatient services, Pillcam and infusions
• Work within a multidisciplinary team, delegating tasks appropriately to Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing and coordinating care with medical and operational staff
• Maintain compliance with clinical standards and safety frameworks, use Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and contribute to unit quality improvement initiatives

Required profile

• Unconditional registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA)
• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent tertiary qualification
• Demonstrated experience, skills and competence in endoscopy nursing or a day surgery/procedural clinical setting
• Excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork, with the ability to adapt to workplace changes and role-model professional values
