Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

About the role

St Vincent's Hospital Sydney is recruiting a Registered Nurse (Year 2 - 8) for its Emergency Department, based in a state-of-the-art Trauma Centre in Sydney's CBD. The role is permanent and full time, on a 24/7 rotating roster, in a fast-paced acute care environment with over 55,000 patient presentations each year.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care in a busy acute care setting
• Use advanced nursing practices and clinical technologies to support patient outcomes
• Work in a state-of-the-art Trauma Centre serving a diverse and complex patient cohort
• Collaborate with an experienced leadership team including Nurse Managers, Clinical Nurse Consultants and Clinical Nurse Educators
• Develop clinical skills and career through ongoing support, mentorship and professional development

Required profile

• Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency
• Experience in an acute hospital setting; prior emergency nursing desirable
• Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team with effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in daily practice
• Effective time management and ability to prioritise competing workloads
• Australian or New Zealand citizenship, or an Australia visa granting work rights for the role; visa sponsorship is not available
