Registered Nurse - Anaesthetics (Perioperative)

About the role

Aegis Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse - Anaesthetics to join its perioperative team in a hospital setting. The role is open to casual, part-time and full-time positions. As an inaugural Scrub Scout registered nurse, you will provide safe, high-quality patient care during surgical procedures, working closely with surgeons, anaesthetists and the theatre team. The position covers both scrub and circulating duties.

Key responsibilities

• Scrub and scout nursing for angiography and interventional procedures
• Prepare and maintain the sterile field, equipment and procedural supplies
• Assist the proceduralist and team throughout procedures
• Monitor patient safety, clinical status and infection prevention requirements
• Complete accurate clinical documentation and ensure equipment and stock are available
• Take part in emergency response, patient transfers and post-procedure care as required
• Work with radiographers, cardiologists, vascular surgeons and other multidisciplinary team members

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registered nurse registration
• Previous anaesthetic or perioperative nursing experience
• Strong knowledge of anaesthetic procedures, patient monitoring and safety
• Excellent communication, teamwork and clinical assessment skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Eligibility to work in Australia, identification check validation and police check clearance (or willingness to obtain them)
