Registered Nurse (Aged Care) - Part-Time Casual

About the role

A part-time casual Registered Nurse position in aged care covering the Sutherland Shire and Southern Sydney region, including Sutherland, Heathcote, Engadine, Cronulla, St. George, Earlwood, Riverwood, Rockdale, Padstow, Mortdale, Roselands, Bankstown, Chester Hill, Liverpool, Campbelltown and nearby areas. Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and supervise a team of Personal Carers to deliver high-quality care for residents.
• Liaise with the Clinical Manager, doctors, allied health and visiting specialists on care plans, and evaluate residents' care needs.
• Keep accurate records of care delivery and ensure safe medication administration, best-practice wound care and clinical support.
• Work within the Aged Care legislation and quality standards, and maintain a safe, harmonious environment for residents and staff.

Required profile

• Current, unrestricted AHPRA registration.
• Complete COVID-19 vaccination with booster, flu vaccination, CPR certification, current police check and NDIS worker screening check.
• First aid certificate and full working rights in Australia.
• Availability for a variety of shift times, minimum 3 days, reliability and willingness to travel.
• Good communication and customer service skills, sound nursing judgement and commitment to ongoing professional development.
