Registered Nurse - Aged Care

About the role

Newcastle Anglican's Anglican Care aged-care service at Bishop Tyrell Place in Cundletown is looking for a Registered Nurse. There is a permanent full-time position (76 hours) and a permanent part-time position (32 hours). The nurse will be able to act as a team leader and mentor at ward level, working with colleagues to coordinate person-centred care. Shifts vary over the fortnight.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with current registration under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Experience in palliative care, knowledge of AN-ACC and high-quality care of older people
• Demonstrated experience leading employees
• Current Senior First Aid Certificate (ongoing requirement)
• Current driver's licence
• National Police Check (relevance of reported outcomes considered)

Required skills

• Excellent time management, able to work independently and in a team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to deliver person-centred care that respects the dignity and worth of each individual
