Registered Midwife - Maternity, Rural & Regional

About the role

MARS Recruitment is seeking an experienced Registered Midwife for contract opportunities in Darling Downs, Queensland, joining a rural maternity team. The role covers antenatal, labour, birth and postnatal care, with a focus on meaningful community impact and diverse clinical settings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide antenatal, labour, birth and postnatal care
• Undertake maternity assessment, monitoring and clinical escalation
• Support newborn care and emergency response within your scope

Required profile

• Rural experience and team leader skills
• Current relevant AHPRA registration and Australian work rights, with required placement compliance
• Strong communication, clinical assessment and teamwork skills

Required skills

• Midwifery
• ALS and Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation
• IV cannulation
• Foetal surveillance education
• MGP experience relevant to the supplied brief

What we offer

• Pay of $73 per hour for ordinary rostered hours, rising to $246 per hour on eligible shifts or overtime, with higher rates for weekday afternoons, weeknights, weekends and public holidays
