Registered Behaviour Support Practitioner

About the role

Transform Life is looking for a Registered Behaviour Support Practitioner to join its established team in Launceston. The organisation was named Therapy Service of the Year at the 2026 Tasmanian Disability Awards, and is growing its Complex Care service, which brings Behaviour Support and Psychology together for people with complex mental health needs, forensic and justice backgrounds, high-risk behaviours and service breakdown. The position can be full-time, part-time or work from home.

Key responsibilities

• Work from home and visit clients in your local community
• Conduct functional behaviour assessments and develop, implement and review Positive Behaviour Support Plans
• Support participants across disability, psychosocial and complex behavioural presentations
• Coach families, carers and support teams to implement strategies
• Collaborate with allied health professionals and participant networks
• Monitor outcomes and adapt strategies to improve quality of life and reduce restrictive practices

Required profile

• Ideally at least 12 months' experience as a Registered Behaviour Support Practitioner across disability, mental health, education, corrections or a related setting
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and AHPRA or AASW membership are highly regarded but not essential
• Reliability, good communication and following through on commitments; KPIs and expectations apply
