About the role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a customer‑focused Recruiter to lead candidate generation initiatives across a variety of technical and business roles in Australia. You will partner closely with hiring managers, build talent pipelines, and apply innovative attraction strategies to secure top‑tier talent.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with business leaders to understand role requirements and design effective recruiting strategies.
• Proactively source candidates through market research, employee referrals, career portals, job fairs and other channels.
• Act as a talent market subject‑matter expert, providing insights and long‑range talent landscape recommendations.
• Implement and refine recruiting processes to meet Amazon’s high‑quality standards.
• Manage recruitment data, apply data‑driven thinking, and drive continuous improvement.
• Educate hiring managers and interviewers on best‑practice recruitment and interview techniques.

Required profile

• 3+ years of technical recruiting experience in a high‑volume, high‑bar environment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple searches, projects and client relationships simultaneously.
• Experience building talent pipelines and driving sourcing initiatives.
• Strong background in complex compensation, offer negotiation and closing.
• Data‑analysis mindset with the ability to use metrics to improve hiring outcomes.
