Recreation Attendant – Kununurra Leisure Centre

About the role

The Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley is looking for a motivated, customer-focused Recreation Attendant for the Kununurra Leisure Centre (KLC). The role supervises patrons across the aquatic, splash park and gym facilities so that they feel safe, welcomed and able to enjoy the centre. Work is available full time, part time or casual.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor patron safety and behaviour
• Provide first aid and emergency assistance when required
• Deliver high-quality customer service and give information on facility rules, programs and services
• Help keep the leisure facilities clean and well presented, including pools, change rooms, grounds and surrounding areas
• Support community events, children's programs and administrative tasks as required

Required profile

• Current Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011)
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (HLTAID009)
• Current WA Working with Children Check
• Experience in aquatic facility operations, youth supervision and a current Bronze Medallion Certificate are highly regarded
• Strong communication and supervision skills, teamwork, commitment to workplace health and safety and a customer-focused approach
• Legally entitled to work in Australia, with a National Police Clearance provided before the interview stage
