About the role
Aurecon is seeking a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Advisor on a 12‑month parental leave contract to support the continuity and reinvigoration of its reconciliation journey. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Inclusion, you will work closely with the RAP Leadership Team, RAP Working Group and senior stakeholders to embed reconciliation into the organisation’s culture and operations.
Key responsibilities
- Strengthen governance and accountability of Aurecon’s RAP through action tracking, reporting and administrative support for RAP leadership meetings.
- Lead visible moments of connection and cultural learning, including coordination of National Reconciliation Week and NAIDOC Week activities.
- Provide cultural safety guidance and lived‑experience input to reduce barriers and ensure inclusive pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- Foster meaningful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees, ensuring their voices are represented.
- Support procurement and workforce foundations by enhancing engagement with First Nations suppliers and championing respectful handling of Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property.
- Supply approved RAP and reconciliation content for bids and proposals to strengthen Aurecon’s client credibility.
Required profile
- Passion for reconciliation and a strong commitment to elevating First Nations voices.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Experience or lived‑experience that informs cultural safety guidance and inclusive pathway development.
- Ability to work collaboratively with senior stakeholders and cross‑functional teams.
