Quality Manager

About the role

Moog is seeking a Quality Manager to lead its Quality Management System (QMS) in Australia. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will ensure compliance with AS9100, AS9110 and other regulatory requirements while driving continuous improvement across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain QMS compliance with AS9100, AS9110, business, customer and regulatory requirements.
• Own the quality policy, strategy, objectives and day‑to‑day processes.
• Generate, review and implement QMS policies, procedures, work instructions and related documents.
• Manage corrective and preventive actions, and oversee non‑conforming material through the NCR process.
• Ensure effective calibration of equipment and maintain the calibration system.
• Lead management reviews and report on quality metrics, corrective and preventive actions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies.
• Plan and conduct internal, external and supplier quality audits.
• Support supplier quality management and lead improvement projects with subcontractors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience leading quality functions in medical device, aviation, defence or automotive sectors.
• Knowledge of QSR, ISO 9001, AS/EN 9100, AS9110 standards and Lean manufacturing principles.
• Australian citizenship and eligibility for required security clearance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Lean Green Belt or Black Belt.
• ASQ Quality Manager certification (advantageous).
• Certified Quality Engineer and/or Auditor certification (advantageous).
• AS9100 Internal Auditor certification (advantageous).
• AS9110 Internal Auditor certification (advantageous).
• Experience with calibration systems and audit management.
