Quality Inspector / CMM Operator - Afternoon Shift

About the role

Marand, an Australian engineering and manufacturing company within the ASDAM Group, is looking for an experienced Quality Inspector and CMM Operator for its afternoon shift in Moorabbin. The shift runs 3:30 pm to 12:00 am Monday to Thursday and 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Fridays. You will inspect manufactured components and assemblies against customer and engineering requirements and operate CMM equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in-process and final inspections on components, assemblies and finished goods.
• Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, customer requirements and inspection procedures.
• Perform dimensional inspections with calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM equipment and other precision tools.
• Create and maintain inspection reports and segregate non-conforming material.
• Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and support containment and corrective action.
• Calibrate measurement equipment according to procedure and acceptance criteria.
• Support continuous improvement and quality system compliance.

Required profile

• Experience as a Quality Inspector and CMM operator.
• Ability to work the afternoon shift (Mon-Thu 3:30pm-12am, Fri 1pm-7pm).
• Applicants may be required to hold Australian citizenship and meet ITAR and/or EAR compliance; a police check, defence security clearance and random drug and alcohol screening may also be required.
