Quality Assurance Operator - Precast Concrete

About the role

A leading manufacturer and supplier of engineered concrete solutions, supporting major civil and infrastructure projects across Australia, is looking for a Quality Assurance Operator at its Swanbank site. The role is casual, with early starts and daily overtime available, and a temp-to-perm opportunity is offered. The position is based in South East QLD (Western Suburbs and Ipswich).

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre-pour quality inspections of moulds, reinforcement, cast-in items, lifting anchors and inserts.
• Verify reinforcement placement, concrete cover, dimensions and configurations against approved drawings and specifications.
• Check mould cleanliness, condition and readiness before concrete placement, and complete pre-pour checklists.
• Conduct post-pour visual inspections of precast concrete products after demoulding, checking dimensions, finishes, edges, cast-in components and workmanship.
• Identify, report and record non-conformances, arrange rectification and verify that completed repairs meet quality standards.
• Work hands-on alongside precast operators to monitor quality throughout production.

Required profile

• Previous experience in quality assurance, quality control or inspection within precast concrete, concrete manufacturing or construction.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and production plans.
• Strong attention to detail when inspecting product dimensions.
• Ability to complete quality checklists, inspection reports and production documentation accurately.
• Driver's licence and reliable transport.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen.
