About the role
Study and Work is partnering with an Australian technology company specialising in AI-driven marketing solutions and software development. It is seeking a motivated Python Developer Intern for a 12-week unpaid internship in Melbourne, with training and supervision from the host company. The internship covers Python, Django, ReactJS and REST APIs.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in developing, testing and maintaining web applications using Python, Django and ReactJS.
- Write clean, efficient and reusable code under developer supervision.
- Support backend development, API creation and database integration.
- Build and update front-end components using ReactJS, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Troubleshoot, debug and resolve software issues.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, testers and other project stakeholders.
- Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices.
- Maintain technical documentation for development tasks and application features.
Required profile
- Currently studying or recently completed a qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
- Previous academic or personal software development projects are highly regarded.
Required skills
- Foundational knowledge of Python and web development.
- Familiarity with Django, ReactJS, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
- Basic understanding of REST APIs, databases and Git.
