Purchasing and Supply Officer

About the role

The Purchasing and Supply Officer will support day‑to‑day purchasing, inventory, and supply functions that keep the health service operating smoothly. Working closely with internal teams and external suppliers, you will ensure processes are compliant, responsive, and aligned with operational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver efficient purchasing, inventory management, and invoice reconciliation to support service delivery.
• Coordinate receipt, storage, distribution, and regular stocktakes of supplies and equipment.
• Provide responsive support through the supply help desk, resolving enquiries and maintaining high customer‑service standards.
• Assist with compliance reporting and ensure procurement activities meet organisational policies.

Required profile

• Detail‑driven and customer‑focused with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Valid C Class motor vehicle licence.
• Willingness to undergo pre‑employment screening, including criminal history checks and vaccination/immunity verification for Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
• Ability to work under a probationary period if required.
