Project Scheduler

About the role

The Project Scheduler ensures timely project delivery by developing and maintaining project schedules, coordinating resources, managing timelines and keeping project stakeholders aligned. The role can be based in Newcastle, Orange or Dubbo, NSW.

Key responsibilities

• Develop baseline project programs in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project, defining critical path, milestones and sequencing
• Integrate engineering, procurement, manufacturing and construction activities and align schedules with contract requirements and delivery dates
• Track actual versus planned progress, update schedules weekly and identify delays, float erosion and risks
• Produce weekly and monthly project reports and coordinate labour, plant and subcontractor scheduling
• Forecast resource requirements, support workforce planning and align schedule with cost-to-complete (CTC) forecasting
• Assist in earned value tracking, support commercial reporting and margin protection, and analyse impacts of variations and disruptions
• Maintain document control of project programs, ensure schedules follow company standards and naming conventions, and keep audit-ready records for QA and compliance

Required profile

• Experience in electrical manufacturing
• Proven project scheduling experience (construction, infrastructure or manufacturing)
• Electrical, infrastructure or industrial project experience highly regarded
• Desirable: meeting facilitation and minute-taking, planning, organising and evaluation skills, knowledge of relevant standards and codes of practice, and 7-12 years' trade experience

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project
• Advanced Excel
• Understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM), cost tracking and project controls
