Project Manager – Water Infrastructure

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of water, wastewater, recycled water and desalination projects in Sydney. You will oversee the full project lifecycle, from concept and design through procurement, construction, commissioning and handover, ensuring safe, on‑time and on‑budget outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of water, wastewater, recycled water and desalination projects across all phases.
• Manage scope, programme, budget, resources, risks and contractual obligations.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities.
• Provide leadership to multidisciplinary teams and foster a high‑performance culture.
• Develop and maintain strong client, consultant and stakeholder relationships.
• Oversee project controls, financial performance, forecasting and reporting.
• Lead risk management, commercial management and contract administration.
• Supervise testing, commissioning and operational acceptance of water infrastructure assets.
• Drive innovation, continuous improvement and sustainable project delivery.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, Industrial or related).
• 10+ years experience delivering major water, wastewater, recycled water, desalination or related infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience across design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover phases.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
