Project Manager - Waste Infrastructure

About the role

Veolia is seeking an experienced Project Manager to safely and efficiently manage and deliver waste infrastructure projects in Adelaide and surrounding areas. You will join the Technical and Innovation team and deliver projects across multiple sites to approved scope, quality, schedule and budget.

Key responsibilities

• Lead high-profile infrastructure projects from initiation to delivery, coordinating the Request for Tender (RFT) process and issuing tender packages with technical subject matter experts.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with contractors, lead commercial negotiations for scope changes and contract amendments, and manage claims and disputes.
• Plan, deliver and review projects through all phases, prepare project documentation and manage progress, milestones, risks, schedule, quality and costs.
• Identify and mitigate commercial, legal, regulatory, safety and Veolia requirements, and conduct risk assessments and HAZOP studies.
• Oversee site works, commissioning, start-up and operational readiness, and manage the supply chain, procurement and vendor performance.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Project Management or a related field.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience managing construction infrastructure projects with budgets from $1M to $20M.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and take full ownership of site works and construction projects from initiation to completion.
• Strong commercial acumen: managing project budgets, negotiating contracts and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
