Project Manager – Renewable Energy

About the role

CV Services is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and renewable energy projects across Australia. You will own projects from tender development through to commercial close‑out, managing design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Develop competitive tenders in collaboration with estimators, commercial managers and engineers, reviewing scope, drawings and contracts.
• Establish new projects with defined scope, budget, baseline programme, procurement plan and risk register.
• Lead safety, HSEQ compliance and site execution for projects ranging from $1 M to $25 M+.
• Manage design coordination, procurement, subcontractors, construction, testing, commissioning and handover of specialist EBoP packages or full EPC projects.
• Control project budgets, cash‑flow, cost‑to‑complete, variations and commercial notices.

Required profile

• Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer experience in renewables, electrical infrastructure, substations, utilities or industrial power.
• Proven delivery of projects or packages valued between $1 M and $25 M.
• Experience supporting tenders, estimates, risk reviews and subcontractor pricing.
• Willingness to travel to regional and interstate sites as required.

Required skills

• Electrical Balance of Plant delivery – HV/LV systems, transformers, switchgear, cabling, earthing, protection, controls or SCADA interfaces.
• Project controls tools – Microsoft Project, Primavera P6 or similar.
• Knowledge of construction contracts, variations, EOTs, notices and change control (AS 4000, AS 4902 or EPC‑style contracts).
