Project Manager – Rail Infrastructure

About the role

Based in Sydney, you will manage rail infrastructure projects within a national pipeline of work, overseeing delivery from initial planning through to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Set the delivery approach and lead rail projects from contract award to successful completion.
• Control budgets and schedules, monitor commercial performance and manage risks affecting project objectives.
• Maintain productive relationships with clients, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams, coach team members and build capability across the delivery group.
• Ensure project activities satisfy contractual obligations, quality standards, safety expectations and regulatory requirements.
• Provide clear progress reporting, contribute to strategic planning and improve delivery processes.

Required profile

• A tertiary qualification in engineering, project management or a related discipline.
• A track record as a Project Manager delivering major rail or other infrastructure works.
• Strong commercial judgement with experience overseeing budgets, contracts and client relationships.
• Evidence of leading multidisciplinary teams to complete projects safely, within budget and to agreed timeframes.
• Confident leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive approach to solving problems and working collaboratively to achieve project outcomes.
