Project Manager, Mechanical

About the role

Aurecon is looking for a Mechanical Project Manager to join its Industrial Team in Perth. You will lead engineering‑led sustaining capital and brownfield projects across industrial, water, energy and infrastructure sectors, delivering safe, cost‑effective and schedule‑focused outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Build strong client partnerships and co‑create tailored engineering solutions.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, specialists and sub‑consultants to achieve project goals.
• Manage projects from concept through handover, controlling scope, risk, financials and reporting.
• Oversee change, quality, health, safety and risk throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify new business opportunities and contribute to the growth of the practice.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years delivering sustaining capital or brownfield design projects in mining, heavy industry or related sectors.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering design teams.
• Strong understanding of brownfield constraints, constructability and integration with existing assets.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to build trusted client relationships.
• Tertiary qualification in project management, mechanical engineering or a related field.
