Project Manager - Jacket and Topsides Field Development

About the role

ICON Engineering, a privately owned engineering consultancy delivering offshore oil and gas projects since 1997, is looking for a Project Manager in Perth. The role covers jacket and topsides field development and wellhead platform projects, from study phase through to detailed design, execution and close-out. It is a hands-on delivery position, not an oversight function, with direct work with clients and rig owners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project delivery on jacket and topsides scopes, from planning through execution and close-out
• Support study phase scopes such as concept selection, feasibility and early planning
• Manage jackup rig interface and marine operations planning across offshore campaigns
• Solve complex engineering and logistics problems independently, in real time
• Ensure compliance with ICON's site HSE requirements and achieve KPIs for scope, schedule, cost and quality
• Lead and develop multi-discipline project teams
• Manage client and rig owner relationships to build repeat business
• Contribute to cost estimating and tender/proposal preparation

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in an engineering field
• 10+ years' experience in the oil and gas or offshore sector, covering project management, offshore engineering, rig operations and marine operations planning
• Demonstrated project management experience on jacket and/or topsides modification scopes
• Direct, hands-on experience with jackup rig operations and marine operations planning
• Well versed in offshore industry design codes, standards and marine operations requirements
• Offshore site experience supervising personnel and contractors
• Experience in cost estimating and tender/proposal preparation
• Client-facing communication with clients, rig owners and marine crews
