Project Manager - Industrial Refrigeration

About the role

Gordon Brothers Industries, Australia's largest industrial refrigeration company and part of Johnson Controls, is hiring a Project Engineer in Sydney. You will deliver industrial refrigeration and process cooling projects for the food and beverage, mining, chemical and industrial sectors, working from concept and design through to commissioning and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and deliver industrial refrigeration and sustainability-focused projects
• Support the design, installation, commissioning and handover of refrigeration systems
• Drive project outcomes to meet deadlines and budget
• Coordinate internal and external project resources to reach key milestones
• Monitor project financial performance and maintain accurate forecasting
• Give regular project updates to customers and senior leadership
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety and environmental standards
• Build relationships with customers, suppliers and contractors
• Identify improvements and champion a strong safety culture

Required profile

• Project engineering or project management experience in industrial, mechanical, refrigeration, HVAC, electrical, controls or related fields
• Technical problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
• Experience supporting installation, commissioning or maintenance
• Excellent communication and customer relationship skills
• Willingness to travel to customer and project sites
• Industrial refrigeration experience is highly regarded; other backgrounds such as HVAC, oil and gas, manufacturing, process engineering or electrical and control systems are welcome
