Project Manager – Energy Trading Deal & Risk Management Systems

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a portfolio of Deal & Risk Management (DRM) information system projects within an energy trading environment. The role is a 12‑month contract based in Melbourne, requiring hands‑on ownership of delivery, coordination across functional and technical teams, and regular interaction with senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate planning, delivery, and risk/issue management for multiple DRM system projects.
• Maintain and prioritize Jira backlogs, producing clear delivery reports.
• Prepare and facilitate steering‑committee meetings and related reporting.
• Drive change management and stakeholder engagement across business and technology groups.
• Support agile delivery, including Scrum‑Master duties and facilitation of team ceremonies.

Required profile

• 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in trading or energy sectors.
• Strong grounding in project methodologies such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile.
• Proven ability to manage project planning, delivery, and risk/issue logs.
• Excellent communication skills and a hands‑on, accountable approach.

Required skills

• Jira backlog management and reporting.
• Agile delivery and Scrum‑Master capabilities.
• Knowledge of PMP or PRINCE2 methodologies.
