Project Manager - Construction & Fit-Out

About the role

JLL is hiring a Project Manager in Sydney to take full ownership of project delivery from establishment through to handover and closure, managing between five and eight projects at once. The role requires strong subject-matter expertise, minimal oversight and guidance of Project Coordinators and Assistant Project Managers.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver monthly project outputs: Project Delivery Plans, Monthly Status Reports, Anticipated Cost Reports, and meeting agendas and minutes
• Manage project budgets and forecast expenditure, and prepare detailed project programmes with milestones and an up-to-date risk register
• Prepare Project Control Group reports, attend PCG meetings and chair weekly project meetings
• Lead RFP preparation, scope writing, tendering, contract negotiation and contract administration
• Drive value engineering and buildability analysis, and review design and documentation
• Maintain anticipated costs, cash flows and accruals, and ensure timely invoicing and variation approvals
• Implement and uphold JLL's Health, Safety and Environmental systems, including a Safety and Environmental Plan
• Manage project close-out, including financial close-out, as-builts and client training

Required profile

• Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects across delivery stages
• Ability to negotiate commercially with contractors, suppliers, consultants and authorities
• Understanding of planning, commercial and delivery constraints for construction or fit-out projects
• Knowledge of ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO9001 and environmental health and safety legislation
• Familiarity with project delivery methods such as Project Management, Construction Management, Managing Contractor and Lump Sum
• Leadership ability to coach, motivate and set measurable goals

• Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint and Microsoft Project
• Cost reporting systems
• Preferred: JLL project management platforms such as Clarizen, Jaggaer or Project Toolkit
