About the role
The South Australia Police is seeking a Project Manager to lead planning and delivery of fit‑for‑purpose accommodation and facilities across its statewide asset portfolio. The role will oversee the full project lifecycle from initiation through design, construction and operational hand‑over, ensuring projects meet future policing needs.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and negotiate project initiation documents for new builds or upgrades.
- Manage design, delivery and operational effectiveness of approved capital projects.
- Provide expert advisory services to the Capital Projects Unit and other SAPOL branches.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external contractors to ensure timely, on‑budget delivery.
- Monitor project performance, risks and compliance with SAPOL policies.
Required profile
- Current Australian work eligibility and ability to pass a criminal history check.
- Experience in managing capital projects within a government or large‑scale infrastructure environment.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to undertake occasional out‑of‑hours work and travel.

What we offer
- Fixed‑term contract of up to 24 months.
- Salary range ASO5 – $92,122 to $102,456 per annum (AUD).
