Project Director - Sports and Venues Sector Lead

About the role

The National Director, Sports Program Management & Business Development will be the face of Turner & Townsend's Sports practice in ANZ, driving growth, creating opportunities and leading pursuits for sports and entertainment clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the national Sports & Venue sector growth strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
• Lead complex pursuits from opportunity identification through contract award, including capture strategy, proposal development and win‑theme definition.
• Provide executive oversight and strategic direction on major sports programmes and projects such as stadiums, arenas and mixed‑use entertainment districts.
• Build and maintain executive‑level relationships with professional sports teams, leagues, venue owners, municipalities and developers.
• Collaborate with regional and global teams to align resources, governance and knowledge sharing across the practice.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, Real Estate, Sports Management or related discipline.
• 15+ years of experience in programme/project management, business development or consulting within the sports, venues or large‑scale infrastructure sector.
• Proven track record of leading national market development and delivering high‑value capital programmes.
