Project Coordinator – 12 month contract

About the role

Reporting to the Program Manager, the PMO Coordinator will support the delivery of BlueScope’s Cloud program across North America. Acting as the central hub between regional technology teams, stakeholders and delivery partners, you will help drive governance, planning, communication and execution across multiple workstreams. The role is based in Sydney, Melbourne or Port Kembla and offers exposure to global stakeholders, modern cloud technologies and large‑scale transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate regional workshops, planning sessions and project activities across North America.
• Support resource planning and the coordination of assessment and migration activities.
• Monitor actions, milestones and deliverables, escalating risks or issues as needed.
• Maintain governance artefacts such as RAID logs, status reports and decision registers.
• Support program communications, stakeholder engagement and change‑management activities.
• Manage project documentation and information repositories.
• Coordinate onboarding and off‑boarding of program resources.
• Collaborate with Microsoft, DXC, Lab3 and internal technology teams to ensure successful delivery outcomes.

• Highly organised and proactive project professional.
• Strong coordination, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to thrive in fast‑paced environments and bring structure to complex initiatives.
• Capable of building effective relationships across technical and business teams.

Required skills

• Experience in project coordination or program support within large or complex projects.
• Proven ability to track risks, issues, actions and dependencies.
• Familiarity with project governance, reporting and change‑management practices.
• Knowledge of delivery frameworks such as PMBOK, Prince2 or MSP is advantageous.
