Project Controller

About the role

The Project Controller will report to the AMS Head of Finance and play a key part in supporting all finance processes for Thales Australia’s Air Traffic Management division. This 12‑month fixed‑term position combines financial oversight of project ledgers with hands‑on involvement in month‑end, year‑end and audit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor general ledger transactions for assigned projects and perform variance analysis against budgets.
• Prepare and maintain audit documentation, ensuring timely and accurate records.
• Manage accounts receivable, including age analysis and overdue debtor follow‑up.
• Assist in the coordination of financial accounting duties, supporting month‑end and annual external reporting.
• Prepare and review annual statutory accounts, liaising with corporate finance and external auditors.
• Conduct balance‑sheet reconciliations and produce cash‑flow forecasts.
• Provide treasury support and own the financial aspects of assigned bids.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business or Finance.
• CPA/CA accreditation (or working towards).
• Demonstrated experience preparing external financial reports.
• Strong understanding of statutory accounting requirements.
