Project Controller – Energy & Resources

About the role

We are looking for a Project Controller to join Stantec’s Energy & Resources business in Perth. The role supports a portfolio of sustaining capital and brownfield mining projects, providing project controls and cost‑control support across delivery teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers and Project Controls Leads with project setup, including WBS structures, cost codes and project systems.
• Maintain project cost data such as actuals, commitments, accruals and forecasts.
• Support cost forecasting, reporting and earned‑value‑based performance tracking.
• Prepare monthly reporting, dashboards and financial updates.
• Manage change control processes, variation tracking and related documentation.
• Coordinate with project accounting teams on WIP, invoicing and financial reporting.
• Ensure accurate project records and compliance with governance requirements.
• Provide cost‑control support to major project teams, including the Kingking Project.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented and collaborative professional with experience in project controls.
