Project Construction Manager

About the role

KBR is seeking a Project Construction Manager to lead construction, renovation and O&M projects for a government customer at a large facility in Alice Springs, Australia. The role requires 24/7 on‑call support and full onsite presence.

Key responsibilities

• Direct construction planning, safety, cost control and scheduling for multiple task orders and major repairs.
• Manage document control, interpret drawings, resolve technical issues on‑site and enforce operational standards.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team, hire and train staff, and ensure compliance with US Government and Host Nation regulations.
• Provide technical support to maintain continuous critical infrastructure for round‑the‑clock mission support.

Required profile

• Active TS/SCI with adjudicated polygraph or Host Nation TS/PV clearance.
• Degree in Project Management, Civil Engineering, Construction or Architecture, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years of experience on large‑scale construction/facility projects and 5 years as a senior/project manager supervising engineers and subcontractors.
• Proven experience in 24x7 operational environments and remote locations.

Required skills

• Project management concepts: schedule, scope, cost, risk and deliverables management.
• Reading and interpreting construction design and equipment drawings.
• Process improvement methodologies such as LEAN, Six Sigma and ISO 9000.
• Cost estimation, proposal preparation and large‑scale facility logistics planning.
