Project Architect

About the role

COX is seeking architects to join its studio in Perth, Western Australia, and take a key role in a range of ongoing and upcoming projects, including high-profile, large-scale developments. The position is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the management team to take a lead role on smaller projects or act as package lead on larger ones
• Liaise and coordinate within project teams, with clients and consultants
• Contribute to design proposals presented to clients, addressing questions, concerns and modifications
• Analyse and interpret data to inform design decisions
• Create innovative design options aligned with the client's vision, functional requirements and budget
• Produce detailed drawings, plans, schedules and specifications
• Work with the COX team, consultants and contractors so design integrates smoothly into construction

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in architectural design, taking on increasing responsibility across project phases
• Master's degree in Architecture or an equivalent in a related field (highly desirable)
• Experience on large-scale and complex projects
• Understanding of construction principles, building codes, regulations and standards
• Experience in site analysis and research of local context

Required skills

• BIM software; advanced Revit skills preferred
• Rhino and Grasshopper skills advantageous
• Design and documentation of buildings and projects
• Preparing and presenting design proposals, reports and visual materials
