Program Finance Specialist

About the role

The Program Finance Specialist will support the financial management of large‑scale ICT programs and projects. You will deliver detailed reporting, budgeting, forecasting and analysis while working closely with program leaders, finance teams and key stakeholders to ensure sound financial governance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver regular financial reports, forecasts and budget analyses for programs and projects.
• Develop and maintain financial models for budget management, scenario analysis and strategic planning.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to create annual and multi‑year program budgets.
• Monitor financial performance, identify risks and variances, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, funding requirements and reporting obligations.
• Support continuous improvement of financial processes, controls and reporting frameworks.
• Provide financial guidance to project teams to ensure accurate cost capture and timely management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in program or project financial management, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, including treatment of project‑related and intangible assets.
• Advanced analytical ability to interpret large data sets and translate findings into insights.
• Knowledge of corporate finance, project finance appraisal, forecasting and risk analysis.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and problem‑solving skills.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance or Accounting; CPA or CA highly regarded.
• Proactive, collaborative attitude with a commitment to accountability and continuous improvement.
