Production Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Production Engineer to optimise safe recovery of our high‑grade gold resource. You will work closely with geology, geotechnical and mine planning teams to design stope shapes, drilling and blasting plans that meet the 12‑week production schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Geology and Geotechnical teams to optimise stope design for recovery and safety.
• Design safe work plans for vertical development, including stope slotting and raise‑boring.
• Create long‑hole drill designs, oversee drill pattern execution, and conduct QA/QC of prep and charge plans.
• Identify waste back‑filling areas and develop safe tipping locations.
• Perform business improvement initiatives to streamline the mining cycle.
• Support mine planning by analysing data, tracking schedule compliance, and suggesting execution improvements.
• Conduct secondary and primary ventilation surveys as required.

Required profile

• Tertiary degree in Mining Engineering.
• Experience in mechanised underground mining.
• Completed underground practical experience required for WA FCMMCC.

Required skills

• Deswik competency.
• VentSim competency (preferred).
• Ventilation, project or infrastructure experience (preferred).
• Short‑term scheduling experience (preferred).
