Product Test Engineer – Embedded Systems

About the role

We are looking for a Product Test Engineer to validate embedded firmware and connected hardware from prototype through to production. You will work on real devices that use serial, Wi‑Fi, BLE and MQTT communications, ensuring they meet quality standards before reaching the market.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans for embedded firmware and physical products.
• Build and maintain pytest‑driven automation suites and CI pipelines.
• Debug failures that span firmware, test fixtures and hardware behaviour.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across multiple product lines.
• Maintain test documentation and report findings in Jira.

Required profile

• Strong Python programming skills, preferably with pytest or similar frameworks.
• Hands‑on experience testing physical or connected devices, not just software.
• Comfortable using Git, Jira and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
• Open to working on‑site in Sydney; candidates can be recent graduates or have a few years of experience.
