Producer, Creative Production

About the role

The Producer, Creative Production works within the State Library Events team to deliver high‑quality, creative programmes and events that engage audiences and celebrate Queensland’s cultural heritage.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and produce distinctive events such as signature library programmes, partnership events, exhibition openings, lecture series and symposiums.
• Provide high‑level event production advice, negotiate and collaborate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee all event logistics including creative development, budgeting, resource allocation, timeline management, venue coordination, technical staff, contractors and suppliers.
• Develop procedures, set priorities and monitor workflow to support the Creative Production team.
• Contribute to business improvement through reporting, post‑event evaluation and best‑practice development.
• Promote a positive, safe and culturally inclusive work environment.
