Procurement Supervisor – Lead Purchasing Operations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Supervisor to lead purchasing operations at our Wyong site. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will oversee supplier performance, drive cost‑effective solutions and develop a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with WHS requirements.
• Lead day‑to‑day procurement activities, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders and inventory planning.
• Ensure procurement and import/export trade compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Monitor, analyse and report on procurement performance, supplier performance, cost savings and sustainability metrics.
• Source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers through RFQ/RFP processes to achieve best value.
• Maintain supplier relationships, manage contracts and records in Oracle and identify alternative sourcing opportunities.
• Analyse spend, identify cost‑saving opportunities and negotiate favourable commercial terms.
• Lead, develop and motivate a team of two direct reports.
• Collaborate with Operations, Warehousing, Quality, Engineering, Logistics and other stakeholders across Australia and APAC.
• Support the Supply Chain Manager and drive continuous improvement of procurement processes and systems.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in purchasing, procurement or supply chain roles.
• Tertiary qualification in business, supply chain, procurement or related discipline; APICS certification preferred.
• Proven experience leading and developing a team.
• Strong negotiation, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Thorough understanding of contract management and import/export trade compliance.

Required skills

• Oracle (contract and supplier record management).
• MRP systems within an ERP environment.
• ERP platforms.
• APICS certification (highly regarded).
