Procurement & Subcontracts Specialist

About the role

Beon Energy Solutions, a leader in large-scale renewable energy and infrastructure projects across Australia and New Zealand, is offering a 12-month parental leave cover opportunity as Procurement & Subcontracts Specialist. You will support the Contracts and Procurement team in establishing and managing supplier and subcontractor agreements that contribute to the delivery and profitability of major projects. The role works closely with project delivery, engineering, contracts, procurement, legal, finance, insurance and business development teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review and give input on commercial and contractual matters for tender and proposal submissions to customers.
• Support the sourcing and procurement of goods and services, including guidance on procurement governance, project procurement plans, RFx documentation and assessment of suppliers and subcontractors.
• Manage the subcontract review process, coordinating inputs from engineering, project delivery, procurement, legal, finance, risk and insurance.
• Support business and corporate functions such as insurance renewals, internal audit and third-party claims.
• Help improve the delivery and impact of the Contracts and Procurement team's services.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Business, Accounting, Engineering, Law or a similar field.
• Significant experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship building at project and organisational level.
• Experience drafting project agreements such as confidentiality, early works, supply, construction, services and consulting contracts.
• Experience in the Australian renewable energy industry is preferred.

Required skills

• Good understanding of contracting principles and legal terminology.
• Good understanding of risk management and insurance for construction and O&M projects.
