Procurement and Logistics Manager

About the role

A privately owned Australian company established over 15 years ago, which develops, manufactures and installs technical solutions for the off-road vehicle industry, is looking for a Procurement and Logistics Manager. This is an end-to-end, high-impact role supporting the development of the organisation's overseas 3PL site while building a strategic supply chain framework across the wider business.

Key responsibilities

• Review the strategic supply chain
• Negotiate with suppliers and manage suppliers
• Develop and implement systems
• Manage forecasting and inventory
• Handle international freight documentation and compliance
• Monitor performance and provide operational oversight
• Lead, motivate and influence the team and wider group

Required profile

• End-to-end procurement and supply chain professional with international experience
• Demonstrable experience in strategic sourcing, forecasting, warehousing and logistics in a high-precision engineering or technical environment
• Experience collaborating with 3PL sites and managing international logistics, documentation and freight forwarders
• Experience operating an end-to-end supply chain framework
• Collaborative, hands-on and coaching approach
• CIPS or APICS membership sought; degree qualifications viewed favourably

Required skills

• BOMs complexity and version control
• MRP systems such as Acumatica, SAP or JDE
• Inventory management and warehousing and logistics
• Advanced analytical skills
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Exposure to 5S and lean principles
