Process Technician – Injection Moulding

About the role

A permanent, full-time Process Technician is sought for the Packaging Services Division (PSD) team in Eastern Creek, NSW. The role develops specialist expertise in injection moulding technology in a highly automated manufacturing environment supplying packaging solutions for well-known Australian beverage brands. Candidates come from plastics manufacturing, FMCG, operations, maintenance or other technical manufacturing backgrounds.

Key responsibilities

• Optimise production processes, troubleshoot equipment issues and ensure safe, efficient, high-quality manufacturing outcomes.
• Operate, monitor and troubleshoot injection moulding machinery and associated equipment.
• Analyse process performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Support machine changeovers, setups and process adjustments.
• Maintain safety, quality and GMP compliance standards.
• Partner with Maintenance, Quality and Production teams and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience in a manufacturing environment; plastics, injection moulding or FMCG experience highly regarded.
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude, with quick learning of new processes and equipment.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, and a collaborative approach.
• Comfortable working a rotating day and night shift roster (6:00am-6:00pm and 6:00pm-6:00am).
• Forklift licence or willingness to obtain one.
