Process Engineer – Resources Sector

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Process Engineer to join our growing Process Engineering team. This role offers the chance to develop technical capability across studies, project delivery and operational support within the resources sector, working closely with experienced Principal and Senior Process Engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver core process design outputs such as PFDs, P&IDs, mass balances and equipment datasheets.
• Perform calculations, equipment sizing and drive process optimisation and debottlenecking.
• Contribute to HAZID/HAZOP studies and ensure designs meet safety standards and client expectations.
• Collaborate across mechanical, civil, structural, electrical and control disciplines to deliver projects from scoping studies through detailed design.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience or exposure to gold processing operations, projects or graduate development programmes.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Interest in working on a diverse range of commodities and processing applications.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SysCAD, METSIM or similar process modelling software.
• Knowledge of HAZID and HAZOP methodologies.
• Ability to produce process flow diagrams, P&IDs and mass balance calculations.
